- PROGRAM
Day 1: Foum Zguid – Erg El Mhazil
Departure at 2 pm from Foum Zguid. You’ll travel in a 4×4, crossing the vast plains of Iriki National Park and the dry lake of Iriki, leading you to the first dunes of the Sahara. Upon arrival at Erg El Mhazil, our team and the camel driver will welcome you to your campsite in the heart of the dunes. Witness a breathtaking sunset from the great dune, where time seems to stand still. In the evening, enjoy a delicious Moroccan meal and gather around the fire for music and storytelling under the starry desert sky.
Day 2: Erg El Mhazil – Dunes
Start your day by experiencing the magic of a desert sunrise. After a hearty Moroccan breakfast, embark on your first walk in the dunes. Camels will carry your supplies as you journey from dune to dune. At the next camping site, our team will prepare the evening camp. Dine under the stars, enjoy live music, and hear captivating stories about the desert. You’ll sleep in traditional tents or under the open sky, embracing the harmony of nature.
Day 3: Dunes – Oasis Zaouait Sidi Abdenabi (Guesthouse)
Wake early to enjoy the morning coolness as you leave the camp and trek across the dry lake of Iriki, uncovering stunning landscapes (approximately 2.5 hours). Arrive at the guesthouse in Zaouait Sidi Abdenabi, nestled in the heart of the village. Here, enjoy a relaxing lunch under the shade of acacia trees or the guesthouse’s courtyard. In the afternoon, explore the village, where the nomadic way of life comes alive. Discover ancient agricultural practices and water management systems while wandering the oasis and its historic remnants. In the evening, dine by the fire, immersed in the serene beauty of the village, accompanied by music.
Day 4: Guesthouse – Foum Zguid
After breakfast, return to Foum Zguid via the dry lake of Iriki in a 4×4. You’ll arrive by late morning, marking the end of this unforgettable desert adventure.
