Desert Mountains – Sidi Abdenabi Oasis – Jbel Bani Engravings – Erg El Mhazil Dunes

Start your journey in the morning from your hotel in Foum Zguid in a 4×4 vehicle, following the track that leads us to the Jbel Madouar El Kbir mountains, known for their unique geological formations. These imposing massifs rise dramatically amidst vast plains, offering a breathtaking natural spectacle. We will make a stop at the Laarjimia Oasis, where you can admire the mountains, enjoy the cool shade of date palms, and observe animals coming to drink from the well.

Next, we will take you to the Sidi Abdenabi Oasis to visit its serene environment, subsistence agriculture, the charming village, and the tomb of the holy man, Sidi Abdenabi. You will enjoy a traditional lunch under the shade of palm trees in this tranquil oasis, surrounded by nature.

After lunch, we will head in the 4×4 towards Jbel Bani. From there, we will take a 45-minute walk to reach the prehistoric engravings and rock paintings, a remarkable treasure specific to this region.

We will then continue towards the Erg El Mhazil dunes, where the Sahara unveils its first fine sand dunes, providing a serene and peaceful moment amidst the raw beauty of the desert.

Later in the afternoon, we will return to your hotel in Foum Zguid. Along the way, we will stop to observe fossils, remnants of ancient aquatic life.
