PROGRAM
Day 1: Foum Zguid – Erg El Mhazil
We will depart in the early afternoon from Foum Zguid. Traveling in a 4×4 vehicle, we will pass through the vast plains and diverse landscapes of the Iriki National Park, often referred to as the “Moroccan Desert’s Colorado.” Along the way, you’ll encounter breathtaking plateau-shaped rocks jutting out against the horizon, creating a striking and memorable scene. We will take time to stop and appreciate these unique formations.
As we venture further, we’ll arrive at the first dunes of the Sahara, continuing until we reach Erg El Mhazil. Here, our team will set up tents and prepare the campsite for our first night in the desert. Surrounded by unspoiled nature, you’ll witness a mesmerizing sunset over the expansive sea of sand. Later, a delicious dinner will be served around the campfire. Under the brilliantly starry sky, you can relax and enjoy the tranquility of the desert night.

Day 2: Erg El Mhazil – Erg El Ghoul
After breakfast, we’ll break camp and begin our trek across the Sahara on a 4-hour guided walk. Accompanied by a caravan of camels carrying supplies and camping equipment, the pace will allow you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the desert. Take in the subtle details of the dunes, listen to the whispering wind, and feel the soft grains of sand beneath your feet.
Our destination for the day is Erg El Ghoul. Upon arrival, you’ll have the chance to assist in setting up the camp or simply relax and enjoy the incredible panoramic views from the highest dunes. As evening approaches, gather around the campfire to share the day’s stories. Traditional Bedouin music will fill the night, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere.
After a day filled with adventure and serenity, you can settle down for a good night’s sleep, whether in a tent or under the open sky, as per your preference.

Day 3: Erg El Ghoul – Nomad School – Foum Zguid
Begin your day early to witness a magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, the temporary camp will be dismantled, and we’ll head toward our next stop: a nomad school. After approximately 2 hours of walking, we’ll arrive at this small yet vibrant educational space. Here, children from nearby nomadic communities attend classes held under a large traditional tent. It’s a touching and memorable moment of cultural exchange, where the radiant smiles of the children are bound to leave an impression.
Following this visit, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch under the shade of an acacia tree before beginning our return journey. In the afternoon, we’ll leisurely make our way back to Foum Zguid, passing through the scenic desert plains of Iriki Lake, which is now dry.
