TOUR OVERVIEW:

 

You will start around 8 am on a full-day trip and private Sahara desert tour from Foum Zguid to Erg El Mhazil by 4WD vehicle. This day trip and excursion to the big dunes of Erg El Mhazil will give you the chance to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside, desert wildlife, and sand dunes with tamarisk trees, which are very exceptional in the region of Lake Iriki and Erg El Mhazil Desert. The entire road consists of tracks, stones, and sand, passing through the natural well of the desert, from where we will go off-road and drive through a completely stony desert, barren light brown sand plateaux, acacia tree forests, sacred oases, and thin hills with panoramic views of the sea of sand.

You will have the opportunity to meet nomads who live in the desert and share tea with them. A few minutes later, you will arrive at the beautiful dunes of Erg El Mhazil, stretching across a vast 64 km area. A bivouac will be ready for you to have lunch. Before the afternoon ends, you can enjoy a camel ride around the dunes to explore the large sand dune (Erg El Mhazil), the highest in southern Morocco. After this memorable experience, you will return to Foum Zguid in the late afternoon.
